But no, that's not what copywriting is in the world of marketing.
Which is a big world.
Copy in this context is words written that drive interest to something.
Take this page for example. If you're still reading this, it means I've done a good job of writing copy.
Writing good copy involves knowing your audience, what they want to hear, what makes them buy, and presenting a product in a way that piques their interest.
It doesn't matter if the words are on a landing page, in an email, in a FB ad or on a billboard, good copy always drives interest toward a particular end product or idea.
